This website is a collection of images from India by Dr Sangeeta Dhanuka. It is a showcase of the nature, widlife and some of the historical monuments of this vast country. Most of the wildlife photos and landscape photos have been taken at various national parks and sanctuaries of India. Sangeeta's major interest is nature and wildlife photography and the birds of the Indian subcontinent her main area of focus. India boasts of about 250 areas that have been declared as protected and is home to a huge diversity of wildlife species be it birds, mammals, butterflies or any other. Sangeeta has visited about 30 of these protected places so far and the website features a select collection of photographs from these. Her endeavor is to add 3-4 places to her list every year and the collection of pictures will be updated regularly. Another area of interest for tourists visiting India is its sheer number of grandiose historical monuments, which show how rich the land once was - both in terms of prosperity as well as art. The 'India is timeless' section tries to share some of these images with you.
